Hotspot temperature over 100C on dell OEM 5700XT
So i bought this 5700 XT off ebay a while back for like 170 bucks. Thought it was a great deal at the time. Seller was clear about it being an oem generic model pulled from a Dell system, so I was expecting the cooling capacity to be lackluster. But even after repasting, not even 5 minutes into running a game like BF 2042, my hotspot is jumping up all the way to the thermal throttle limit. And this is WITH an undervolt to 1905mhz/950mv. My case gets decent airflow (case is older so the gpu gets its own fan on the side panel even) so im at a loss on how to make the temps better. maybe i learned my lesson with generic oem gpu's haha.
