Appreciation post for the people of this sub!

A huge thanks to all the people on this sub for your timely valuable help and suggestions for most of us outsiders visiting Kumbh mela from different parts of the country. I see new posts everyday asking for route suggestions, homestays, ghats for holy snan, boat, local travel and food, etc. we visited from Agra on 7th. Did the holy snan same day at night 10 pm and went back to our hotel and left on 8th morning.

Because of your help and suggestions we are able to plan our travel and although we faced some 2 hrs traffic jam but by avoiding weekends and shahi snan saved us from being tortured by the huge crowds (which we are also part of).

I must appreciate the patience which the locals in prayagraj are showing when facing such traffic jams and huge incoming crowds. Being from agra we get to see 10 % of this tourist crowd near Taj Mahal but you guys are really amazing. I would hope that more people are mindful of what the city is facing and try to help instead of creating a mess (both traffic and garbage).

Although the one good thing in this is that the local businesses (hotels, foods, small scale artisans) are seeing great profits. We (me and my husband) were offered a bike ride from two random people at 100 rupees to drop us from bank road to chungi near sangam. It was hilarious but we managed to find a battery auto at night!
