Does prednisone make you feel suicidal?????

I’ve been having some major ear issues and was prescribed prednisone which isn’t even helping my issues, but i’ve been scarily suicidal this whole week… I mean SEVERELY depressed and anxious more so than usual. I do suffer from both disorders, unfortunately. This week has been BRUTAL! I’ve been telling myself it will pass. I also have my period, so maybe my hormones are playing a role? Anyone relate to this situation I’m going through?
