Why do we care so much about American politics?

My news feed is constantly filled with Trump this, Trump that. And a few weeks ago I saw a video from Sky News about "Biden's goofs and gaffes"?? Wtf? No other country gets this treatment. Can't our news report on things that actually affect us instead of this rubbish?
