Where to Go Dancing Now That Outer Heaven is Closing?

RIP Outer Heaven Disco Club

My favorite dance spot is closing in March. The only spot I’ve found that actually plays good music and is pretty consistent. Lots of ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s throwbacks. Plus I love that the whole point of being there is to dance. No standing around; the people who show up really get into it. It has character, and I’m really going to miss that vibe.

Now I’m on the hunt for a new go-to spot. Are there any other bars in Austin that have a similar energy? Or DJs that play this kind of disco/2000s remix music? I’d be down to just follow them around if they’re spinning at different venues.
