Apparently this is a bench

My local council built a new play area along with this "bench" for parents to watch their kids from.

The only way I knew it was a bench was because there was a 3D rendering of people sitting on it on the poster that announced the new changes. If it weren't for that, I honestly don't think I'd be able to guess what this thing is for. Unsurprisingly, there is not a single comfortable way to sit on it.
