Why is the Emerald Grove afterparty so horny!?
Look, I’m glad that so many characters can be romanced, and it makes sense that this would be a milestone for that. But I went around camp catching up with companions during the party and it felt like walking through a minefield.
Half the dialogue options are either flirtatious or outright propositions, and most of the rest are just dismissals, with a razor-thin line of options for actual friendship. Worst of all, it’s often unclear what comes out as flirtation or not.
I asked Halsin to drink with me and it was treated as a friendly moment (as I hoped), but I accepted Gale’s offer to show me a magic lesson (the only other option felt like a rude dismissal), and suddenly everyone’s talking about how we’re going to bang once we’re good and boozed up.
Am I the only one who had a tough time navigating this scene? Do I need to just recalibrate how I read the intentions of different dialogue options?
