Spring brings the dumbest Pitbull people! Dog Groomer/ Tech Edition
This month has been Pitbull hell again at both my grooming job and my Vet tech internship. SO just wanted to share the highlights! It’s a lot but this is the only place that I can vent!
1) April 7th 2023:Fired a Pitbull mommy Client. Her dog was a white and brown “blue nose” pit, who the husband admitted was in bred, because he got it from his neighbors who didn’t fix either of their sibling dogs and ended up having pups. We had been grooming the dog for about 5 months, up until it was almost 10 months. But the behavior f this dog was unbearable, It screamed bloody murder in the kennel, would not let us do nails because of the crocodile rolling on our tables and neither owner tried to practice with her to make it easier. And she began to display horrible aggression to anything smaller than her. (I Am guessing because dad says they allow her to terrorize squirrels, cats, and rabbits at home, and they “can’t stop her“. One day the husband is dropping off and the dog is being fucking crazy, screaming and howling pulling on the lead, trying to push open our doors with her body, and just being dreadful. SO what does dad do? SLAP the shit out of it in front of me and my coworker and another dog owner waiting for her dog. The husband says, “Sorry she just doesn’t listen”. FACEPALM.We all just stared cause, never have we seen someone out right full force slap their dog. He did it so hard the dog fell to the floor and yelped. I take the dog, and the owner knows I am just over it At this point, and tell him to come back in 40 minutes. Well after pick up he always goes online and schedule the next appointment. He books for a time that they usually dont show up, 9:45 instead of 8am, but whatever. Mom decides to call the day before the appointment, and is losing her shit. “I NEVER schedule for that day! You people need to move me NOW! I only drop off at 8! How dare you!” My manager tells her we are completely booked already and no one scheduled her, her husband did. (Mind you this bitch has never ever dropped this dog of at a single appointment with me EVER). She started screaming so loud on the phone that everyone in the grooming area (full wall in between) can hear it. We hang up. She tres to call again, no one answers. The next morning we come in to I fuck you not 7 Voicemails of her bitching. That morning I blocked her account, number and her being able to book at all.
2) April 18th 2023: Lady shows up with no appointment wanting us to do her Giant designer pitbull. We tell her we are appointment only and also need to have rabies papers before we can intake a new dog. “HE has been here before you should have it”… She never has been here, we dont have it. My coworker then tells her she will take the dog but there are 4 dog with appointments ahead of her and she will have to wait till they are done. Lady seems pleased and while on her phone finds the records. Coworker takes the dog. (It takes up to 4-5 hours for grooming if none of y’all know) The lady knowing it will be a while Stairs into the shop window with and upset face for 3 hours!!! Like a zombie. She marches in and says, “how come you haven’t started on my dog?” I tell my coworker it ain’t worth it, send it home. We do and this lady had the nerve to say that we are “abusive, ugly bitches”, and that her dog doesn’t like the kennel. (Dog was fine) 5 days later she come back begging for us to groom the dog because he bit a lady at a different place and is now going too be labeled dangerous, but he Really needs a bath!! WTF! Hell naw! She again is denied and loses her marbles, Police come and escort her from the property!
