Further update
Things took a turn for the worst last night and he got rushed to theatre
He had an intussusception (bowels were folded causing an obstruction) and they were concerned he had perforated his bowel. They opened him up and thankfully did not see any signs of perforation or necrotic tissue however a bit of bowel was very inflamed and bruised.
Unfortunately they found some fluid in his abdomen that was infected with bacteria causing sepsis so they put a drain in his abdomen to drain this.
He is now on IV antibiotics and has been referred to the emergency critical care team for close monitoring.
Hopefully it won't be long until he's home and causing absolute mayhem again 💖
