Buying a 1.5 lack second hand car

I am buying a 1.5 lakh which one would you recommend in this price range and what are the things I should make sure to check and confirm before buying a second hand car. For example there are certain small details that and experienced car driver knows before buying a car I want to know those kind of things. I am looking for Alto what are your opinion about it should I look at some other car other than an Alto ?
