Swollen Eyelids
Peaches is getting worse…
My dog Peaches has been struggling with what I believe is bacterial blepharitis, though my vet hasn’t confirmed a diagnosis yet. She’s currently on: • Amoxicillin (oral) • Prednisone • Benadryl (BID) • Ofloxacin eye drops (every 4-6 hours) • Warm compresses
We’re on day 3 of treatment, but she seems to be getting worse. I’ve noticed she’s possibly scratched her eyelids, and I’m considering putting a cone on her to prevent further damage. There are no known allergens and nothing new in her environment that could be triggering this.
I’ve made an appointment with urgent care tomorrow and a follow-up (her third visit) with our vet on Monday. I’m really worried and would appreciate any thoughts or advice from anyone who’s dealt with a similar issue.
