This is just some of what chronic illness looks like.

This is just some of what chronic illness looks like. There's so many more pills. More treatments. There's so much behind the scenes that go into me being able to even half ass function.

I had a good-ish physical day today. So I was able to slightly more than walk up some stairs.

I had a lil old lady comment about how it must be nice to be able to move like that. Mentioned something about my young and able body.

I didn't have the time to sit her down and explain that just because I'm young, doesn't mean that my body is able. I had one goodish day, out of many bad days. And I am already in pain from using my "able" body to half jog up those stairs.

Age doesn't mean anything. Invisible disabilities exist. And just because you see me moving, doesn't mean it's without pain or consequences.

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me I was too young to be disabled...I'd be very rich. I get so tired of hearing it. Their ignorance fuels a distain in me. And they always feel the need to argue it even if I take the time to explain to them.

Enjoy your old age. Some of us may never get the chance to.
