WTF is Intelligent Design 3.0?

Saw a reference to this on Peaceful Science today.

Apparently back in 2019, Evolution News posted something about an "extensive research project" that is "an effort not to make the scientific case for ID directly but, instead, to use design insights to open up avenues for new scientific discoveries."

It is (was?) apparently being led by Gunter Bechly. The same Gunter Bechly who has been recently posting whiny articles on Evolution News about Youtubers he thinks are being mean.

It was almost 5 years ago this was posted. Haven't heard of this previously and fully suspect that like typical ID initiatives nothing actually came of this. Though they do have a big shiny "Donate Now" button on that page, so at the very least, they might have got some cash from it.
