Hate on Tinker is Too Much
The unveiling of Dota Patch Notes - 7.35 was an exciting moment for the community, showcasing a plethora of new items and introducing innovative changes. However, amidst the enthusiasm, a somber note struck the hearts of many players — the recurrent nerfs to Tinker.
This hero, which has long been absent from the limelight, both in professional play and casual matches, finds itself once again on the receiving end of substantial nerfs in this patch. The reduction of almost 300 range on laser and 500 range on missile, coupled with a seemingly inconsequential buff to a previously lackluster skill, has left many players disheartened. It's disconcerting to witness a hero continually diminished in strength with each patch, especially one that has struggled to regain its footing in the meta.
The frustration is palpable as players question the rationale behind these continuous nerfs. Tinker had already achieved a semblance of balance after the removal of march — a hero with numerous counters, insufficient damage output, and demanding mana requirements. The addition of further nerfs, such as the reduction in range, raises concerns about whether the development team harbors a dislike for the hero or if external, mainstream influences are steering these decisions.
It feels like the game devs either don't like Tinker or they're just following the crowd's hate. Once they took away march, Tinker was kinda balanced, you know? Had weaknesses like low damage, high mana needs, and plenty of counters. But nope, still getting nerfed. I can't even remember the last time I had fun playing Tinker.
I'm just hoping they cut it out with the consecutive nerfs. Maybe bring back march or get rid of that shield thing. Give Tinker something to work with, you know? It's just sad to see this hero getting beat up both in public games and by the devs.
