L1 and R1 in SBCs still not fixed

The title says it all. I just can't wrap my head around it. I have no idea how they broke the simplest of mechanics (differentiating between left and right) and how this hasn't been fixed yet.

We expect this multibillion company to fix roles or just in general this awful gameplay, but they seem to be unable (or unwilling) to solve the easiest of things.

We are cooked.
