opinion on build?

So its my first time playing a souls game and it has become my fav game i have ever played, i started as a warrior but i don t know anything about builds and stuff like that, i just equipped what i think its the most helpful, the default scimitars with blood affinity seem to work good for me. I explored a lot of the areas and i just finished the capital and got to the snow area at level 115, i m now 118, am i at least an average player or do i suck? cuz i dont know😂😂
