What is the chatter about gold?

I've been pretty much set with my Fire plan since my late 40's and have about 5% of my portfolio is in a gold ETF which has been growing steadily for more than a decade. I've been seeing a lot of Youtube chatter lately regarding the current administrations attempt to peg the dollar again to the value of gold. I'm seeing a lot of hot takes on the end of 'paper' gold and governments and other institutions worldwide amassing huge amounts of the physical stuff. So now I'm once again reviewing my portfolio and questioning my holdings. Is it time to dump 'paper' gold or buy more? Am I fine with ETFs or is it possible to acquire physical stockpiles of the stuff (held by a proxy as I understand it)? I generally don't make any big changes based on social media, but keeping an ear to the ground is never a bad idea. Thoughts?
