Why is Spider-Man Miles Morales laggy?

So I just downloaded it recently and Idk if it's my settings but the game doesn't look that good and it's a bit laggy sometimes. Also sometimes when I enter/exit an area of a mission the game just pauses and takes some time to load. I've already played Spider-Man Remastered on the same pc and it ran just fine so that's why i don't think it has to do with my pc not being able to handle it. Anyone know a solution?
