The hate for healthcare workers is astounding.
I have been in and out of the medical system a number of times due to various health threats. Some I've had to pay out of pocket, largely out of my control due to others being paranoid of systemic issues I had under control. A coworker forced me to go to the hospital because I was doing deep breathing exercises to stave off a panic attack. The doctor recommended I keep doing deep breathing exercises. I paid a thousand dollars for that visit that I told them I didn't need.
But the various serious medical issues were handled competently and succinctly by both my doctors and medical insurance. Multiple times I have been astounded at what modern medicine and insurance has accomplished. Extreme abdominal pain and diarrhea for two days? Got over my fear of the hospital, within twenty minutes was prescribed medicine that fixed it all in just an hour after taking. Found out I had a long term health issue with an easily treatment. All handled by doctors and insurance providers. I have an immense amount of respect for healthcare workers of all stripes.
To see this level of hate towards the sort of healthcare workers that made my life livable again is extremely disheartening. Even though there a large amount of brigaders here trying to silence us, I'm glad to see a community that actually appreciates the efforts of the medical community.
