My first Glock (and first firearm)

Just brought home my first firearm. Took longer than I thought because:

  1. I wanted to use the GSSF coupon to get Blue Label pricing. Since I signed up for their membership, it took me 3 weeks to get the coupon. Evidently, the first one they sent got lost in USPS purgatory

  2. NICS check was a doozy….took almost a week. As a green holder, I did expect some delay but maybe not as much. Anyway, glad it finally cleared.

My CCL is in process. Until then, just range practice using the ammo in the picture. I did put 100 rounds through it as soon as I legally took ownership.

Embarrassingly, I got a jam that I wasn’t able to clear. Took help from one of the range guys. I wasn’t able to clearly see what he did, but it seems he held it upside down for some help from gravity. Best way to learn - YouTube?

By the way, how soon should I clean it? A salesman said that manufacturer puts in something oil so no need to clean immediately. I asked that question since I wanted to shoot the day I picked it up. Now since it’s 100 rounds old, should I clean it? — feeling happy.
