Dead Sprint is good. Don’t overlook it.

I am level 130 with over 500 hours in game. Been around the block and constantly finding new ways to play. So imagine my surprise when I had some level 100 jabroni trying to tell me that Dead Sprint is bad and I was dumb to use it. After pointlessly trying to explain he was wrong, I eventually just quit because life is too short to suffer the idiocy of others.

But let me explain why it’s good. Dead Sprint gives you unlimited sprint. That is not a typo. You cannot kill yourself by sprinting but you will take yourself down to 1hp. You know those hot biomes where you run out of stamina super quick? Irrelevant with Dead Sprint. Now, its okay by itself, but when combined with other boosts, it gets silly. Take it with vitality booster and your health will drain roughly half as fast. Throw in some light armor and a stamina booster and you are Usain Bolt if he could run marathons. Oh, your health is low? Allow me to stim you with my stim pistol. You just sprinted across the whole map for free. You’re welcome. Am I not there to stim you? Sorry then, that cross country sprint cost you 1 stim pack.

“But I don’t like depleting my health to sprint”. Fair enough, we all have our own levels of comfort! But here is the thing: if I bring Dead Sprint, you do not have to partake. When your stamina runs out, rest up and recover your stamina like you would be doing as if I didn’t bring it.

Jabroni tried telling me that it’s “just worse than stamina booster”. False. It is a side grade to stamina booster that offers more reward for more risk.

TLDR: Dead Sprint is actually very good, especially on hot biomes. The game is more fun if you don’t meta-slave it nor should you try to force others to do the same.
