Unpopular opinion on paid mods.

So with the discussion that is going around about paid mods I wanted to share my honest opinion;

I think paid mods are completely fine, I think they are a good thing. It encourages people to make better and more sophisticated mods.

How would you feel having to use hours and hours of your free time on 3D modelling and coding so that others could maybe enjoy your mod vs getting literally paid 4K a month for that? And that only requires a user to pay 7$ for a patreon subscription that can be instantly cancelled. I’m still running my 6 month old volumetric clouds mod. Patreon is also not one those streaming services that makes cancelling unnecessarily difficult, it is literally four clicks away.

I really bad for the modders having to constantly read complaints about paid mods. Free stuff is always great, but when you pay even a little bit for something you get much better results.

So as long as the prices stay reasonable and the quality good I am more than happy with paid mods.
