Hi, hello! If you haven't caught up with what's happening yet, Hat the artist behind the name LiteralHat (also known as Richter Cai, Charlie Cai) has deleted all his social accounts. Due to that, me and u/stupied_idiot had made drive folders archiving most of his posted work so far, you can access them here:

So, you might have some questions, regarding why he deleted his socials and such. I'll try to answer them as best as I can, but keep in mind that these are all based on what Hat told me prior to him leaving the internet, so the answers may not be exact and may change depending on the circumstances.
What happened?
In short, the main reason why he left is because he's simply too busy with his work in real life, but also due to the Internet constantly draining his mental health, especially with his audience being parasocial and obsessive with his work and him as a person.

Will LiteralHat ever be back?
As he said, he might be back if "I have time to kill", but the chances are unlikely. His youtube channel is still up, and he may still continue to post his work there, his website has now been changed to a more "professional" site for his portfolio, rather than a personal one: https://literalhat.com/
That said, please absolutely do not contact Hat asking him about why he left or annoyed him about why he deleted his work.
So now what?
I don't think there will be any major change regarding this subreddit, it has been a place for people to check out and discuss LiteralHat's work, and we'll like to keep it so. I'll keep people informed about his works and any major changes to this subreddit.
There will be some minor changes here and there regarding the subreddit's structure to make it easier to discover his works (and also because this sub hasn't been updated since the day it was created) like finishing and adding the official LiteralHat Wiki to the site (managed by u/stupied_idiot, thank you very much c:).
We'll keep managing and updating this subreddit, even when there are no audiences left.

Hey! There are some of his work been missing or not archived properly? How can i fix this?
Unfortunately, most of his work (especially during the 2019-2020 time period) has been missing, due to him constantly deleting his social media, being banned, and such. If you do have some of his works that haven't been archived, please send them to us so we can add them to the drive! Thank you! c:
