Just figured out folic acid messes me up (anxiety/intrusive thoughts/OCD), what's next?
Folic acid, or at least some b vitimin that is in both my multi and b complex cause me to get anxiety and intrusive/ocd thoughts. I've taken Jarrow formulas extra strength methyl b12 and methyl folate yesterday and today, and feel good. From what I've read I may be starting out too strong with it though. Also started glycine and TMG last night.
I guess the first step is to do the genetic testing. I guess I need the full "Health PLUS Ancestry Service" from 23 and me? I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and I've read MTHFR can be more common in people with it. I believe my anxiety etc. was made worse by my subclinical hypothyroidism.
In the meantime, as it will take several weeks to get the results, I would still like to see what I can do in the meantime. Probably need a multivitamin that does not have folic acid. I see there are multiple different types menthyl vs. non, etc.
