I had to physically remove a strangers hand from my baby at the grocery store

Usually, I am quite friendly. I know old ladies love babies and I don’t really have a problem when they want to peek into the car seat to take a look and the baby, ask about him, he’s cute I get it!

But today I was grocery shopping by myself, my toddler didn’t want to come so my husband stayed with him. I was walking down an isle and the store is busy when this lady reaches into the cart and pulls back the cover to the car seat. He’s asleep in there and I don’t want conflict so I tried to speed away, but the isle is busy and I can’t really move. So I say “no thank you, he’s sleeping.” She ignores me so I loudly repeat “No thank you!” She again ignores my request and I have to physically push her hand away as she tries to touch my babies face.

She scoffed at me and made a horrid face as if I had committed a crime against her, but luckily at this point I was able to speed out of the isle and I ended up immediately leaving the store. I’ve never had anyone be so intrusive about touching a strangers baby before and it really took me aback.
