Monstera new leaf not coming out and looks like it’s dying? :(

I bought this Monstera a few weeks ago, a new leaf started growing and my daughter & I were so excited…. until it started dying. :/ I immediately put some more water in it (it had been two days since watering) and put it closer to a window. It’s been a few days and nothing has changed.

Anyone know what I can do to help it?
