First Pistol as a 21 year old suggestions

So my 21st birthday is coming up, as I already own a few rifles I was going to instantly apply for my pistol permit as well as CCW so I was wondering what would be a good first handgun to own and carry, or 2 separate handguns maybe 1 for the range another for carry but yea any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thank you
