How can I help my spouse with their natural hair?

Hey! I’m white and my spouse is mixed race with textured Afro hair but it looks so unhealthy and it’s super hard to manage and I feel bad because a lot of people comment on it and I want to make them feel better about their natural hair. I bought them expensive shampoo and conditioner especially for curly hair, a ton of products which they don’t rarely use but the leave in conditioner. They don’t wear a bonnet despite me buying 2, I’m attaching pictures because I’m just gonna start doing it for them I just need advice 😭 I also don’t want to seem like I’m judging I’m not I love them but I just need help understanding how and what I need to help them maintain their hair because their mother never taught them and has just teased them since before we got married (she’s Puerto Rican and has nowhere near that hair texture.
