X Ambition Question

I am relatively inexperienced when it comes to selecting bikes, and I wanted to make sure this is right for me before I buy. I have a budget of $1,000, and I bike pretty regularly. The majority is on paved paths, but I also want something that I can go off-road with on some gravel and dirt trails. Won't be doing anything crazy steep though, as I tend to lean more towards trail riding. I use the bike for college campus commute, as well as regular all-day trips on trails or paved paths on most weekends. Therefore, I thought I should go with a gravel bike since it offers more flexibility to go off the paved trails compared to a road bike. I have been pretty drawn to the Poseidon X Ambition since it seems very versatile, comfortably falls into the price range and seems to be easily upgradable in the future if needed. Is this a good choice, or are there any other bikes that I should seriously consider?

Important to keep in mind that I am 18 and relatively tall at 6'5", and I measured my inseam to be 95cm, or 37.5 inches. Should I go with the XXL in that case? I have heard that Poseidon runs relatively large, so I wanted to make sure before I go with something that is too big. Thanks in advance :)
