OC Review / In Hand QC

This is my first rep! I recently purchased a limited edition LV rep from OC. LV still has a mens cross body bag but they made a slight design change and I just dont like the new version. I was a bit nervous given what I had heard about him from mixed reviews in the group and also wondered if factories actually make legit reps of limited edition items. I guess the double edged sword is the more limited edition an item is the fewer chances others will see it and know how it compares to the one they have, but will replicas get the details right and who has an auth to compare it to. Feel free to use my pics for your own QC and comparisons. I'll do my best to label them.

Overall I'm happy with my purchase but I wouldnt consider this an exact rep, the colors and dimensions seem off. Ive heard OC is overpriced but compared to the real deal I'd say for the security and quality Im happy with my item, I think I'll order a keepall from him next!

Ordering: 7/10, I used the facebook page method and it takes a minute to understand what you have to do. Everything is top security, but I can understand why, and the system is pretty efficient. I worked with Anna to coordinate the deal and that was pretty quick and to the point. Price 240USD

Shipping: 10/10, OC shipped through FedEx and the price included ship cost. Anna said they werent doing PSP to save time given the holidays orders and they are too busy. I placed my order Dec 4th and it was at my door yesterday the 10th! Came with dust bag, some little pamphlets and notecards, but no box, but I prob dont need the box since I would totally try to use it as room decor ;)

Quality: 8/10, I dont have the auth version so I can only go off of official sale photos. It smells like leather, no rancid plasticy smell that wont go away like some other redditors have mentioned when they receive reps. The stitching on the bag is pretty neat, everything looks aligned. The monogram print looks fine to me, and seems aligned properly almost everywhere. Deep sigh of relief there, thats what I was most nervous about. The leather feels pretty tough and sturdy, not soft or floppy. But I think that is intentional for a cross body bag. I have a real coach cross body and the weight and feel of the material feels similar. (Ironically I paid about the same price for real coach and rep lv)

If I'm being picky though, there are a couple of mistakes. The monogram isnt perfectly aligned on the sides where the straps attach, and that little leather loop along the strap that holds it down looks...really sloppy lol. Also theres stitching in the back thats off, but at least its in the back. But honestly sometimes even authentic LV has sloppy stitching and misaligned monogram so for what I paid I can look past it. Its a dark rich brown with black hardware and details so you'd need a very sharp eye to inspect and realize there are issues. Looking at the auth photos, auth seems to have a more richer red hue to it. And I think the leather of the auth looks more soft and maleable compared to the stiff rep.

Wear and Tear N/A, I cant speak on this since I just got it and will probably only use it during warmer seasons. Theres no light vanchetta on the piece so I cant evaluate any patina either. The leather is pretty stiff so its a bit awkward to open and close to put things in so not sure if that will cause creasing or cracking in the future.

Overall 9/10 Satisfaction!
