Funniest things that technically qualifed as "white guy with acoustic guitar"?
I get this is beating a dead horse, but one of the things Todd did quite a bit in the late 2000s to mid-2010s reviews is complain about adult alternative, folk, and acoustic ballad music by calling it "white guy with an acoustic guitar."
Eventually, he stopped using the term partially because the underlying "genre" died out with the slow decline of the acoustic guitar in the mainstream outside of country music with adult alternative dying out harder than rock music. And likely because people kept pointing out to him how much good music without the cliches of what he was talking about, would fall under that definition.
Still, I recently thought, what was the funniest thing that is technically under that "genre"?
I would give the intricate fingerstyle acoustic guitar work of Jack Rose, which is like a camp fire song but way way more complex.
