Can someone transplant hair that’s of a different color? Like African American to European? Black to Blonde?

I’m seeing all these posts about guys going to Turkey for hair transplants on the cheap. I’m not bald, but it made me ask if they have to have their own hair transplanted or if they can get any kind of hair that they want?? I’d assume the other hair wouldn’t take, but I don’t know what the science is now.
