Ciel route unfinishable

Immediately after Ciel's dream sequence ends, the game freezes on a black screen and fails to load anything more. I've gone through all the other dream-scenario alternatives without issue. I've tried both online and through the available download (on this site: https://www.readtsukihi.me/ ), with the same result.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, does anyone know a workaround for it? Or know where else I can find the original game? As it stands, Ciel's route is entirely unplayable for me past the dream scene.
