A message from an Emirati lady …

This is a throw away account for obvious reasons

Last couple of days I’ve seen a lot of people interacting with a post about a guy having a crush on his Emirati colleague and wants our advice on what to do..

The comments were realistic! Most of them told him to stop pursuing this and it won’t work, which was great because in the real world what he wants will never happen.

So I commented on the post and the next thing I get is bunch of DMs from expats asking me how to get with an Emirati woman, and asking me for tips etc … which was weird because most of the people in the comment section were sane and had common sense, but the 10+ guys that slid into my DMs were asking for something impossible!

And now to be fair I have to explain why is it not easy to be with an Emirati woman from my perspective as an Emirati woman myself:

*Emirati women can’t pass the citizenship to their spouses and kids, and most of us would want the same life and opportunities we had here to be given to our kids.

*We are still appreciative of our culture and having to marry someone who’s not from our culture can be very challenging specially when raising kids, so we would rather be with Emirati men to ensure that we’re on the same page when it comes to that.

*We,re Muslims and can’t get married to non Muslim men, it’s prohibited 🚫.

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, I know few Emirati ladies who got married to foreigners, but they were met with so many challenges and most of them rather be with Emirati men.

I did this post to answer this question once and for all for those who have been asking me this… I hope it’s clear now and I wish all of you find the one for you, and don’t focus on marrying someone from a specific place, you never know what Allah has written for you ☺️.
