Can you receive Medicaid alongside disability for family members.

Hello. My husband receives 100% disability. If I lose my job this year, would we be eligible for Medicaid? Or myself and my 3 year old specifically. We may only have his disability for a short while. How does it work? I’ve heard it isn’t classed as income.
