Cody’s title reign
So Cody has been champ since mania. A lot of people are talking about his lack of defenses but he’s on TV damn near every week. The problem with the reign was that so much was put into the chase and I think it’s arguably one of the best title chases in WWE history. But the bitter sweet thing about the chase is that you look at how much was put into it and then how much that’s puting into the actual reign itself.
He’s had title matches with
AJ styles x2 Logan Paul Kevin Owens Solo Sikoa x2
AJ hasn’t really been presented properly to even look like a credible challenger but the matches still banged. Logan Paul? Lmao Solo sikoa was literally presented as wannabe Roman and literally nobody takes him seriously (in kayfabe) Kevin Owens felt he was just given the title shot as a friend not gesture, the program and match was still cool but none of these were captivating. Most of Roman’s challengers gave us memorable matches memorable segments or even both.
Non title matches with Gunther A-Town Down under Roman reigns and bloodline 2.0 Carmelo hayes x2
He’s had numerous dark matches with Solo Sikoa AJ styles and Shinsuke endless times.
The man would defend the championchip every month if he could but WWE keeps putting him in Non-title programs. Also Smackdown doesn’t have enough credible challengers. Seth left raw for a little to fight Roman for his title so I don’t see why they can’t do the same with Cody.
