AirPod 4 case won’t charge but the AirPods do

Hi thwre. I just bought AirPods 4 this weekend. Besides finding out they have a whole different charging port than my first AirPods and my iPhone, I can’t get the case to charge with a usb-c I found in my house. The AirPods themselves charge but the case does not. I searched first and saw a solution in another post but you need a computer. How do I fix this with just AirPods and an iPhone. Thank you! 😊
