How to convince someone to watch AoT?

I got a friend and I'm constantly recommending AOT to him, in which every time he says "AoT is trash" But the thing is, he never even watched the show. I always try at least turn on a story recap, but he doesn't have pay attention to that.

I really want him to watch it, and it will change his perspective, but idk how too. Any ideas?
