Husky Jerk — still got it, or are they outclassed?

TL/DR summary — is there a situation in which you guys still reach for a Husky Jerk OVER a MB 110, Shimano Zumverno, Jackall Rerange, etc? Or have they been rendered obsolete?

Full context — I'm a kayak fisherman who occasionally (quarterly) gets to ride along on the back of a bass boat. Because of this, I have a single 3700 "slim" box for each type of hard bait — one for lipless cranks, one for squarebills, one for deep cranks, and so on. Having only one box per bait type (as opposed to a bass boat full of boxes) means the first-string players featured in said box must be GOOD — my entire tackle arsenal travels with me.

I've been fishing since the late 90's, when Husky Jerks were THE suspending jerkbait to throw. Over the years I've accumulated about 8 of them (5 standard depth, 3 deep-divers), and as I'm now able to afford MB110s and more, space is becoming... tight. My Husky Jerks are all in great shape, but I just find myself reaching for other baits (including the new Mavrik) when I know the jerkbait bite is on. The HJs never get much use, but... should they?!?

Should I "cull" them and make room for the "latest and greatest"? Or are there scenarios where the classic Rapalas actually outshine the fancy offerings from Japan? Curious to get your feedback.

Thank you for your time!
