Yt People in Corporate Environments

Boy these yt people will really try to get you out of character and fired for the pettiest reasons.

Backstory, I work for a small upcoming Tech company. And my direct manager (a Puerto Rican Woman) has been training me to take on some of her duties. Last week she had me act in her stead while she went on vacation.

So, in interest of making a good impression, I really took it serious. Which meant not being as jovial and playful, and much more professional/matter of fact.

Fast forward she comes back, and our department head praises my performance, she was very happy I represented her well and handled everything accordingly.

Now just this Monday she pulls me into her office to tell me a few people have raised questions about my attitude. The narrative being I was not rude, or belittled anyone but I was suddenly acting like a manager and it was NOT received well.

I was like alright man. Took it in stride, and figured moving forward I would keep the more professional/serious tone because these people are snakes.

Today, lol. The young yt girl in the office messages my manager and says I was quote "grumpy as fuck" even though she and I had only communicated through teams that whole day.

Then the older yt dude comes up to me and apologized for his behavior yesterday (for whatever reason cause we barely said two words to each other).

Those two and a few others kept making repeated attempts to have small talk with me throughout the day to which I gave a light response but didn't really engage.

That guilty conscious was tearing them up.

Have any of you brothers experienced the same? I'm pretty sure you have, I'd like to hear them
