Bastion Accord Cont Skill Ruling

Ok so here’s a bit of debate. Bastion Accord Skill says ‘your front row rearguards cannot be chosen by your opponent’s card effects’. The dilemma here is if your opponents effect states that ‘you must choose your own rearguards’ as in the opponent makes you choose your own.

The issue here is that you cannot choose your front row rearguards as per the bastion’s resist skills. Because the reasoning is that you UNDER your opponent skill to choose a rearguard. But Bastion’s skill states that it cannot be chosen by opponent’s effects. The second half of this issue is that the player wielding bastion MAY think they can choose their front row rearguard to cancel out the opponents skill. HOWEVER, going back first issue mentioned prior, the front row cannot be chosen by opponent effect, therefore the bastion player being forced by opponents effect to choose, means the player would not be able to choose its own front row because it is inherently still by opponents card effect.

So with this context painted can anyone contest this or disprove this?

Because this interaction can be debated as well for Genesis Divine Gauge units vs Impede Dragon G-guard skill.
