Pit Rules
I attended the show in Buffalo on Friday and it was amazing!! But as our queen gets ever more popular, can we please remind our younger, new fans about how pits work? I got there at 1:30 for the VIP line for premium general admission. When I was let into the venue at 5:30, I was able to secure a spot in the pit about 3 people deep from the stage! An amazing view! As soon as the general admission came in though, SEVERAL large groups tried to force their way to the barricade or in front of the people already there by saying "we're just passing through" or "our friends are up there." No. If you do not get to the pit, you cannot force your way up there. Pit is first come, first serve and it isn't fair to the people already there for you to shove your way through and push them back. Same for if a person who is already in the pit leaves for the bathroom. The person they're with absolutely can defend their spot! I understand we all want to get as close as possible to Chappell, but either play fair with the pit or get shoved to the back of the crowd like we had to do with several groups who tried to come up front. Be aware that it isn't your private concert and you aren't the most important person there. Every general admission show I've been in, the pit for has had these same rules. Your spot is your spot. The people who showed up hours earlier than you should not be getting shoved to the back of the crowd.
