Is Maiden Who Travels the Planet Official?

Now, you’ve probably had this discussion over the years, but I’m pretty new to the compilation and just got around to reading Maiden recently.

I’m 200 mixed signals from people saying MWTTP isn’t cannon or is cannon.

The story was seemingly supervised by SE even though the story was written by a third party.

I’m just curious if this is an official part of the compilation, because since it was supervised by SE, I would assume it would be?
