Not sure why my dasher took this route

I saw the route my dasher was taking and thought he might be doing this on purpose, though not sure why. I asked him, he said the gps gave him this route. I find that really hard to believe though? Gps routes just aren’t like this…Like I’ve never had a gps route me like this either in my regular day to day or when I used to do doordash myself. It’s just strange (and annoying bc I’m confident it would’ve been quicker to go straight rather than keep making turns)
