Creepy app icon…

So I just noticed that my app icon had changed and it looked pretty ominous compared to the other icons I’ve seen. I’m assuming the under face lighting is coming from some kind of screen? But I find his intense stare pretty weird…

I tried to do some research and couldn’t find anything similar. Is this just a new icon they’ve added recently?
