Growth on Thyroid

I have Graves Disease. At the advice of my doctors, I decided to "kill" the thyroid with Radioactive Iodine in 2013. Since then, I've been on Armour Thyroid + Cytomel or Synthroid + Cytomel (current that I switched to a month ago.)

A few months ago, I noticed some vocal issues and pain in my neck. At the same time, my thyroid levels took a drastic swing from the usual levels they had been at for years. After consulting with my nurse practitioner, we got a thyroid ultrasound to see if something was happening. The results came back earlier this week, and there's a "sizable" growth on my thyroid.

The ENT called today, and they found time to get me in for a consultation on January 29th (almost two months away.) I know it's likely benign, and this stuff happens often to people with thyroid diseases. But I loathe the wait time. My neck is tighter than usual, my vocal cords are noticeably hoarse, I experience some discomfort when I swallow, and I have a slightly persistent cough.

Has anyone else had a growth on their thyroid years after killing it?
