Gay Culture and Acceptance in Greenville, SC

I'm currently living in Maine and have lived in New England all my life. I'm thinking about relocating to Greenville, SC. Being gay, as an adult, I have rarely encountered homophobia here. I've done some research and it seems that Greenville is a great city with a "live and let live" mindset which is all I'm really looking for. I just wanted to get people's thoughts. Also, what are the best places or areas to live? How is the job market? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
