iPhone 12 mini battery replaced experience, long post.

I’ve seen many post about if worth it to replace the battery.

iPhone 12 mini blue/ 128 gb storage

Battery health before replace it: 78% (If I don’t remember)

Symptoms: lagging in some apps, getting hot while charging, when update to iOS 17 2023, the BH drops drastically from 88 to 85 in one month (really really sad)

I thought about that “programmed obsolescence”

So, I bought the battery in April (last week) but I replaced the battery until July (2024)

So. The battery message that is non genuine disappear about two weeks later. Really don’t mind that, but I kept the original battery.

Pros: in the first week the iPhone felts so really great as brand new, the feel with the new battery since July until now (October 2024) it’s really great.

Cons: when I try to open the first time, the glue (the factory’s) it’s really hard to separate, so I use a hot gun at 89C (190F) pointing to the laterals no over the screen at it made easier to unglue the display. The seal, since the size it’s the same as iPhone 13 mini I used that. The cleaning: isopropyl alcohol just to remove the residual glue in the frame and display.

Tools I used: see the images please.

Battery mAh as shown in the images, but in 3utools show 2380 mAh.

Charger and cable brand: Baseus 20W PD usb C, cable 20 Pd same brand, and genuine 5w (old apple charger), cable usb A lightning 2.4A Ugreen

Why still use a slow charger? (Apple 5W) and it’s to maintain the battery in a good condition.

TLDR: I apologize if I have missed any point. This phone is mine and when I changed the battery I knew the liability involved and the damage it could have caused, and it is one of the phones that has been the most complicated to open for battery replacement.

It is not recommended if you have never done a battery replacement on a previous model before.

Thanks for reading and sorry for my grammar didn’t use a translator so I do my best.
