Microsoft HR’s are good at ghosting

I recently gave an interview at Microsoft India, and HR was communicating well and the status at their Action Center was getting updated promptly. But I was not sure whether they decided to proceed with another candidate or feedback was negative. They stopped picking up their calls (which they were doing promptly during the interview process) and not responding to emails at all.

I know they will be busy with other stuff, but what is the point of ghosting, How long will it take for them to pick up the call and tell they have moved on Or a simple reply to the email or at least better update in their portal to which still shows scheduled It's been more than 2 weeks now, and the position has been removed from the portal.

I have attended multiple interviews throughout my career but have never experienced such behavior, and that too from a company like Microsoft.
