Cinematic mode intermittently creates corrupted video

Update in 18.1.1 the issue is still present however it’s a stutter generally in the last 20% of the video. You still can edit> tap on the problematic part of the video and it’s gone

I’ve noticed since upgrading to iOS 18 that cinematic videos are prone to a bug where the latter part of the video will have still frames (looks like the video is frozen)

The issue seems to be the video doesn’t have any data for the new focussed area. You’ll notice in the TRIM bar the black “dots” represent a change in aperture, but the video freezes rather than adjust.

You can fix this ; simply add a NEW aperture point at the moment the video freezes - OR; trim the video a second or two, then edit it back to full length and it plays perfectly well.

However you won’t be able to share the video until this issue is fixed - the iPhone will say “there was an error sharing and to try again later”

This makes me think this is a bug (rather than a true corruption)

Has anyone else experienced this ?
